for Conservation Biology's Education Committee (SCB)

We are the Kingston Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), an international non-profit organization that works to advance the science and conservation of biodiversity! We strive to raise awareness about conservation and sustainability on campus and to educate the Queen’s and greater Kingston community through our fundraisers, events, and initiatives. The society is composed entirely of volunteers, primarily from the Queen's community, who meet weekly to discuss relevant current events, host guest speakers, and organize the community outreach programs for which the SCB has become well known. One of our committees is our Education Committee: We run education programs in local Kingston elementary schools and are soon to be launching our high school programs. The committee also helps with planning and hosting events such as movie nights and webinars, to educate Queen's students and the public. We accept all volunteers, of all programs/majors/years, all throughout the year!
