50/50!

Do you like winning money? Do you like spending small amounts of money for a chance to make LOTS of money? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of these questions, than come to the Con-Ed Office to purchase your “50/50 Draw” tickets!

Tickets go on sale starting today – $2 for 1 ticket and $5 for 3 tickets – and will run until Thursday, March 30th. The draw will be held Friday, April 1st and the winner will be notified by e-mail. This is open to people outside of Con-Ed, so get your friends to buy tickets, too! The more tickets people buy, the more money you can win!

This is a fundraiser to help support Con-Ed’s 2011 ThankQ Gift of providing additional funds for Teaches during Frosh Week.

So come to the Office to buy your tickets now!

If you have any questions, please e-mail Graeme McTavish (7ghmm) or Nick Cornish (6nc7).

Project WILD is fast approaching!

The Project WILD workshop will be taking place this Saturday. Sign up in the Con Ed Office for an incredible day. Project WILD will be held on March 19 from 9am-3pm in Duncan McArthur (B180). This workshop, which is usually valued at $50.85, will be offered to you for $28.22! You can pay in cash or cheque (made out to Concurrent Education Students’ Association) by March 15, so sign up soon!

In addition, our Workshop Coordinators are bringing the Mental Health Issues Workshop on Monday, March 28, 5:30 – 6:30. Dr. Condra, the director of Health, Counselling and Disability Services, is the guest speaker of this workshop. He will discuss how to identify students in distress, and how to best support and respond to their needs. This is an important workshop for anyone considering a career in teaching. The workshop is $2 at the door (location TBA) and is open to all Queen’s students, not just Concurrent Education students. See you there!
