Congratulations on your acceptance into Queen's Concurrent Education!!
As your CESA Executive, we are very excited to welcome you to the Con-Ed Class of 2021 and to have you join the exciting, vibrant Con-Ed community at Queen's this fall. This is truly a great achievement that you should be very proud of. We hope that your years at Queen's will be full of great memories and experiences.
As a student in Queen's Con-Ed, you are a part the Concurrent Education Students' Association (CESA). This is your faculty society! CESA has a Council and Extended Council made up of Con-Ed students who are committed to helping you get the most out of your time here at Queen's. Whether you are looking for professional development opportunities, social events or want to get more involved in Con-Ed, Queen's or in the greater Kingston community, we are committed to helping you find meaningful and beneficial ways to do so.
The transition to university can be overwhelming at first. It's okay and encouraged that you ask for help! There are so many support systems at Queen's that will be here for you. If you ever want to talk to someone, do not hesitate to reach out to your Teaches (orientation leaders) or us! We are always happy to chat! We all remember what it was like to leave home and want to make your transition to university as smooth possible.
We have a very exciting year ahead! Here's a glimpse of some of the events coming up this September: Con-Ed Camp, intramural sports (volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, curling, innertube waterpolo (ooo!) and many more!), coffeehouses, professional development workshops and a charity pancake breakfast! There are so many great events coming your way throughout the year, so stay tuned for opportunities to meet Con-Ed students and get involved!
We will be around during Orientation Week at the CESA Pizza Lunch and the Sidewalk Sale so feel free to come say hi! The Con-Ed Office, located in the lower JDUC, is also a great place to reach us throughout the year. If you have a free moment this summer, we encourage you to check out the Con-Ed website, follow us on Twitter @QueensCESA, and like us on Facebook. Also, be sure to check your email regularly for updates on upcoming events and opportunities.
We hope you enjoy your Orientation Week and please get in touch if you have any questions about Con-Ed, CESA, Queen's over the summer and beyond! We are a resource for you and love receiving your emails. Congratulations again and welcome to Con-Ed!
