Your nickname(s): Julio, Gus, Beev

Hometown: Carleton Place, ON.

Favorite First Year Course: CHEM112

Favorite thing about Con-Ed: Coming from a small town, I can relate to a faculty where everybody knows everybody. I love being able to develop strong friendships with my fellow Con-Eddies, and I know I will maintain those friendships for a long time. I also love the Con-Ed jackets.

Favorite thing about Teach Exec: This year’s Teach Exec is an awesome, approachable group of people and I am excited to work with them during frosh week.

Personal spotlight: In terms of my hobbies and interests, I love playing badminton and basketball. I also enjoy swimming and inner tube water polo (BTW, the easiest way to become my friend is to sign up for the inner tube water polo league). I would like to teach Chemistry and Math at the Intermediate/Senior level.

Words of wisdom for the Frosh of 2014: Take advantage of all the resources available to you on campus. The Queen’s Centre, the Writing Centre, and six libraries are just a handful of the resources at your fingertips. In addition, go to all of your 8:30 classes and keep up with your readings and course work. Also, STUDY FOR PSYCHOLOGY. I look forward to meeting you in September and I hope you have a great first-year!

Favorite thing about Teach Exec: How stunningly beautiful, intelligent, and downright sexy each of them are.  I <3 EXEC.

Personal spotlight: I love Con-Ed! I love my friends in Con-Ed! I loooove when we shake our booties!  Harry Potter + Disney movies x Lion King2392393029 = <3. I’m on the women’s varsity volleyball team, which is almost as cool as playing on the intramural Con-Ed innertube waterpolo team (everyone should try this sport AT LEAST ONCE). I love dancing… the non-choreographed silly kind that you do when no one is watching.  I’m in I/S for Bio/Math because I LOVE SCIENCE AND MATH!  :D

Words of wisdom for the Frosh of 2014: Embrace every minute here! Keep a smile on your face and an apple in your hand, and I can ensure you that you will have THE BEST TIME of your life.  Hakuna Matata (it means no worries). And play intramurals, especially innertube waterpolo because it’s super, super fun!!
