President

Alex Love

The President serves as the chief official of the Association, and represents CESA on all official and ceremonial occasions. The President oversees all operations of the Association to ensure that they are in line with the mission statement and the constitution. In conjunction with the Vice Presidents, the President sets the overall direction for the Council. Working closely with the Treasurer, the President manages the financial affairs of the Association. The President sits as a voting member of the Alma Mater Society Assembly, along with the other CESA Representatives. The President directly oversees the following positions: Executive Administrator, Senator, Treasurer, Communications Director, Web Master, Newsletter Editors, Academic Affairs Commissioners, CESA Representatives to the AMS, CESA Representatives to TELC, ESS Representative to CESA.

Vice President (Internal)

Kimberly Howald

The Vice President (Internal) is responsible for the internal affairs of the Association. The Vice President’s job begins long before the first day of classes, spending a great deal of time in the summer months planning CESA Camp. The Vice President is CESA’s voting representative to the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society’s Assembly. The Vice President works closely with all members of Council under the Internal Umbrella: the Year Representatives, Music Representative, Fundraisers, Social Affairs Commissioners and Athletic Sticks. In the absence of the Executive Administrator, the Vice President acts as the chair of Council meetings.

Vice President (External)

Katie Wilson

The Vice President (External) is an exciting position on CESA Council working closely with the President, Vice President (Internal) and Executive Administrator. The Vice President is responsible for attending both the Faculty of Arts and Science Faculty Board Meetings and the Faculty of Education Faculty Board Meetings. Along with attending these meetings, the Vice President works directly with various members of Council: Workshop Coordinators, Conference Executive,  Orientation Week Executive, External Affairs Commissioners, and the Community Affairs Commissioners. The Vice President sits on many committees of Council, including the Bursary Committee, Orientation Committee and the Conference Committee. The Vice President is also responsible for organizing CESA Council’s weekly office hours and midyear reviews.
