Professional Development

Workshops

Workshops offer all students opportunities to engage with each other, faculty, staff and professionals to establish and build on a love for and commitment to education and professional development.  Past workshops have included portfolio development, outdoor education, special education, classroom management and experience abroad, all with the objective of promoting discussion, interactive learning and networking.  Workshops Coordinators are always open to suggestions to ensure that each workshop represents the interests and concerns of our diverse group of students.

For information about current and future workshops, please head over to the workshop coordinator’s page.

The Queen’s Conference on Education (QCE)

The Queen’s Conference on Education (QCE) is an annual not-for-profit event that brings together students from six Ontario universities to explore issues related to teaching and education. Over a three-day period, delegates attend two keynote addresses, an enormous selection of professional development workshops, a Teacher Resource Fair, and a formal banquet.

Now in its tenth successful year, QCE continues to attract a large number of undergraduate students from across Ontario. QCE is the perfect opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in education to expand their knowledge and expertise, and forge new relationships with other aspiring educators.
